Terraforma Photography
The potential range of perception of the natural world is vast, sometimes to the point of incomprehension compared to what human eyes choose to perceive in our daily activities.
ICE, SAND. ROCK – These elements of the natural world which humans are most likely to have visual encounters with at different times. They have been part of the forming and re-shaping process of Earth’s topography that began long before humans. This re-shaping continues today by the forces of seasonal, meteorological, and tidal cycles.
The photography presented here has captured some of the transformations of these natural forces. They were found in an unblemished state and are very temporary; many were found in areas not normally along human walking paths in areas designated for nature preservation. The off the beaten path approach I have taken has allowed me to discover areas where the elements of ice, sand, rocks flora and fauna exist without human interference.
When viewed they are perceived as direct external stimuli, but to the mind’s eye, they are intriguing and challenge the limit of visual interpretation. Hence the name Terraforma Photography – Incredible Artistry In Nature
These are mostly digital photography and only minor post-production enhancement has been used for illumination and coloring.
